Proclamations in support of IAW were received from the City of Fruita on November 19 and the City of Grand Junction on November 20. Through those Proclamations, the two cities reiterated their commitment to honoring freedom of religion or belief (FoRB), which has long been globally recognized as a universal basic human right.
Events like ThanksGVIN celebrate how people on different spiritual
journeys can interact with, befriend, and support one another — regardless of a preferred religion, spiritual belief, or secular affiliation.
A beloved tradition of ThanksGVIN is to encourage financial and other support of one or more charities. This year, donations will be given to Heal Palestine, a nonpolitical, nonprofit humanitarian
organization with leaders who bring more than three decades of building programs and projects in Palestine. Financial contributions may be made at the ThanksGVIN service or online at Heal
Palestine’s website https://www.healpalestine.org/. (CLICK HERE to see flyer for donating to Heal Palestine.)
